Hike | Munds Wagon Trail | Sedona
Trail Description
Munds Wagon Trail is an easy, casual hike along Schnebly Hill road in Sedona, AZ. The trail offers great views of Sedona, red rocks, and if you are lucky, small pools and water runoff that make the rocks very photogenic.
The Munds Wagon Trail begins at the Schnebly Hill Rd. turn off and is a popular destination for Jeep tours. The trail follows the road and crosses it a few times but is far enough away that very little traffic is seen or heard. The trail heads east where you will run into features such as Mitten Ridge and Cow Pies.
The trail ends near the rim and at this point you can turn around and come back. We decided to explore the area which is easy to do because the red rocks are easy to navigate and explore without getting lost. Take some time to sit, relax, sun bathe on the red rocks, take some pictures, and then go back the way you came.
